This tabard uses a clean front and back connected at the shoulders, with ties at the open sides. It is planned as a loose woven layer over a shirt, keeping the fastening and fit adjustment away from the centre front.

Design details

• Pullover round neckline with a faced finish
• Boxy front and back ending at the upper hip
• Open side edges with two pairs of ties on each side
• Single large lower front patch pocket

Fabric and construction

A medium-weight linen, cotton twill or stable linen blend should hold the simple shape. Keep tie ends light enough to knot comfortably. The planned sewing guide will focus on facing the neckline, strengthening the tie positions and finishing the open sides neatly.
