Side-Tie Wrap Skort PDF Sewing Pattern

Prepared after purchase. Digital delivery within 1 business day. This planned side-tie wrap skort combines an asymmetric apron front with a pair of short legs that remain visible from the back. A smooth fitted waistband and a fabric tie at the left hip give the dark navy design a clean, defined shape.

An apron front over a shorts foundation

• One short woven skort with a separate, stabilized fitted waistband
• An asymmetric overlapping apron panel across the front only
• A fabric tie at the wearer's left upper hip
• A concealed right-side zipper for the fixed waistband
• Two separate short legs visible from the rear, with a center-back shorts seam
• A smooth rear without an outer skirt panel, pockets or belt loops

The tie secures the front overlay; it does not replace the zipper or make the waistband adjustable. The front overlap and the shorts foundation will be developed together so that the overlay can move without closing the two leg openings. This order covers one design and length.

Fabric and sewing preparation

An opaque, fine woven crepe with a fluid drape and enough body for the waistband is the planned starting point. The previews show dark navy. Choose a non-stretch fabric and sample the waistband interfacing, tie edges and zipper finish before committing to your final cloth.

The English guide will address assembling the shorts, shaping the waist, finishing the apron edges, positioning the left-side tie and inserting the concealed right-side zipper. Check rise, seated ease, leg opening and front overlap in a toile. Fabric quantities and the final construction details will be confirmed during preparation.
