A fitted robe with a full skirt

• Darted bodice joined to a narrow fitted waistband
• Separate flared skirt falling near the ankle
• Low dolman-style sleeves ending below the elbow with plain turned edges
• Pointed turned collar framing an overlapping V front
• Two matching buttons placed across the front waist
• One large patch pocket on the wearer's right upper skirt
• Shaped back darts, a center-back seam and a smooth skirt without waist gathers

Dusty plum appears from front and back; pine green shows the same cut in another color. The narrow waistband and rear shaping are Sewlore development choices within this original interpretation. This release covers the illustrated long robe. Sleeve seam placement, underarm shaping and inside fastening support will be resolved during preparation.

Fabric and fitting plans

An opaque cotton sateen with a supple hand is the starting direction. Choose enough body to support the collar and pocket without making the full skirt stiff. Test shrinkage, seam bulk and pressing response before selecting interfacing.

The English guide will address bodice darts, collar and front facings, waistband joins, pocket placement and the long hem. A full toile should check shoulder balance, sleeve reach, waist comfort, overlap while seated and walking clearance. Let the skirt settle before leveling the hem. The fitted shape needs an appropriate amount of ease; the preview does not establish tested measurements.
