A children's sailor middy blouse sewing pattern planned around a loose pullover shape, a contrast square collar and a removable front inset. This 1960s-inspired design has short set-in sleeves and a hip-length hem with small side vents.
A sailor collar with a simple straight body
- Broad flat collar with a V-shaped front and a square flap across the back.
- Two narrow braid lines frame the contrast collar.
- An opaque detachable inset fills the front V; concealed snap attachments are planned during drafting.
- Short fixed decorative knot tabs complete the front without long hanging ties.
- Straight loose body with no waist seam, patch pockets or front button placket.

Please check your child's chest, height and desired blouse length with us before ordering. The plain trousers and shoes shown are styling pieces and are not included.
The sea-green poplin, ivory collar and navy braid illustrate one colour combination. Consider stable opaque cotton poplin or another similar lightweight woven; the final fabric specification and trim quantities will be confirmed during preparation.
